Offboarding
A downloadable game for Windows
You awaken on the couch, your mouth dry and your head pounding. It is possible that you just accidentally napped for several hours. Nothing makes sense for a good 10 seconds, and then you remember, you were about to..... play Offboarding!
Offboarding is a choose your own adventure text-based RPG that revolves around continuing to work even after death. Become a harvester and choose how you handle dispatching rogue souls and possessed items with your trusty literal sidekick Nepenthe, a sentient shoulder-bag with 10,000 years of relevant experience.
Your new gig will take you through several time periods and locations, with dialogue inspired by the work of Jay Pinkerton, Eric Wolpaw (Portal 2), Zach Hadel, Michael Cusack (Smiling Friends), Futurama, and Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave).
With 425 dialogue choices in the demo, Offboarding is designed to be played multiple times. There are many different paths you can take, jokes to be heard, souls to harvest, songs and items to collect, and more! This game is made with the intention of making you laugh, groove, wonder, and persist. It is a demonstration of music production, writing, and programming.
